Happy Birthday Nic

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICo

What a great way to spend a birthday! Nicole turns 29 in two days. Pockets bursting with money today, I took her out for a whirlwind of a celebratory Saturday afternoon, as these professionally composed and perfectly metered photographs demonstrate. We laughed so hard when we got these pictures home. In our defence, with my camera down, I was forced to buy a disposable at the entrance of the Busan Aquarium. Later, leaving the aquarium, my heart was pounding thinking about some of the money shots we took, what with gnarly-mouthed sharks and handsome sea turtles cruising around behind us in their ambiently lit, artificial sea-scapes. The aquarium was pretty cool. Apparently, it is one of the bigger and better ones in Asia, if not the biggest. But fuck, our photos are terrible, so I have posted them here for you to ridicule and comment about, if you so desire. Man, I miss my camera, and frankly, we have demonstrated that when it comes to taking pictures in a dark room with glass aquariums, regardless of camera quality, we just don’t understand the physics!

Let’s begin. This time, I will guide you, with commentary, through the photographic series.

Let’s start with this one. Behind Nic, several cold-blooded sharks lurk. But I didn’t get ‘em, but one… faintly.

Not much to say regarding this next pic. Some sucky thing on the glass. Reminds me of those flying things stuck to the windshield of the Millennium Falcon in that meteor on Empire Strikes Back…

And check out these nice tourists. Fourteen-year-old Andy and his grandpa were kind enough to pose for a quick snapshot.

And now a rather unterrible photographs, relative to the rest of them. Awwww….

(NOTE:This little photo tour was pretty funny originally, but I’ve taken a few gems out to save space for the rest of my blog, so I admit, it is pretty lame now).

Oh well. Well, I’m a bit drunk right now, but it is Nicole’s birthday, and we’re heading to the bar downstairs to dance to some live funk music. Might be an open mic a bit later, too. Anyway, we have a computer at home finally, so expect more witless blogging and national-geographic-eat-your-heart-out style photography.

Love y’all,

Suteebun

Happy 29th, MAMA!
